Asian Bodywork

Hi welcome to my page where I am blogging about what I have learned along with other classmates of mine in Asian Assessment. In this class we get into further discussion about The Four Pillars in Asian Assessment, Tongue and Pulse diagnosis, read study cases, learn Zang Fu Theory and disease patterns... Throw in some awesome Qi Gong and Tui Na body work and you got our Asian Assessment Class! Please feel free to comment or make suggestions. The idea of this page is to inform others of this awesome class that is offered @ Mueller and if you are wanting to specialize in Asian Bodywork, I think it would do good for this class to be essential! :)

Books

Here are some really good books for studying Chinese Medicine. I suggest going to Amazon or used book stores online for discounts because some of these can get a little pricey.

This book has been my Bible in studying Asian Theory of medicine. This book was a requirement for my Asian Theory class and for Asian Body work. I still bring it to Asian Assessment and refer to it all the time in studying. It's a GREAT book!

Great book for studying Tongue diagnosing. By Giovanni Maciocia This book was a requirement for Asian Assessment.

Highly recommended for studying Pulses.

I do not have this book, but have used it for references before. This is a book you may want to check out used! It costs around $40 to $50 dollars.

Another one to buy used. I'm dying to get my hands on this one! ;)

This book is about $21 used and $25-30 new. I love this book! Mine is on order now. It has great illustrations of kinesiology and points!

Student Manual on the Fundamentals of Traditional Oriental Medicine. Currently unavaliable on Amazon.com. If you go to http://www.livingearthent.com/index.htm you can order there. :)
